Angus One and Templine - Supporting Our Community
November 27, 2009

Angus One and Templine is absolutely committed to being a socially and environmentally responsible organization. Our goal is to support local organizations that share our vision on sustainable practices and giving back to the communities, in which we live, work and play. Since 1986 Angus One has been proud to serve and support the communities we call home.

The holiday season is around the corner and as strong community supporters, this year our office is collecting food bank items in support of:

The Vancouver Food Bank: www.foodbank.bc.ca

The GVFBS helps feed up to 25,000 people weekly in depots located in Burnaby, New Westminster, Vancouver and the North Shore – without any government funding! Additionally, the GVFBS aids over 100 food-serving agencies within these areas, providing help to approximately another 16,000 individuals weekly.

Most needed items:
· Canned meats, soups, stews, fish, meat
· Pasta and rice
· Peanut butter

We will also be collecting any household items, clothes and toiletries for the Covenant House: www.covenanthousebc.org

Covenant House Vancouver exists for those young people for whom there is often no one else — young people aged 16 - 24 who have either willingly fled physical, emotional and/or sexual abuse or those who have been forced from their homes. We bandage their cut-up feet from days and nights walking the streets; we give them hot food and a warm bed and we support them in their choice to change their present circumstances while helping them heal from past traumas.

Most needed items:
· Jeans, jackets, hats, gloves, shoes
· Toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, shampoo/conditioner
· Underwear, socks

If you are interested in helping out feel free to stop by anytime and drop off your donation! If you are able to, lets all make an effort to give to others less fortunate than ourselves and make a difference in OUR community.

"You make a living by what you get. You make a life by what you give."
- Winston Churchill
