Here at AngusOne Staffing, we have decided to launch our very own “Temp in Training” program to help students and graduates transition into the working environment.
What is the Temp in Training Programme?
We offer an exciting program called “Temp in Training” which transitions students into the workforce. This is a perfect opportunity for graduating students to start a summer or temp job. There is no fee to register and our clients are located throughout the Lower Mainland, Tri-Cities, Metro-Vancouver and Greater Vancouver areas.
Types of jobs available
We have many opportunities and work with a diverse group of industries including the following: Translink, The Salvation Army to North Shore Nissan – all across the lower mainland. Most positions are transit accessible.
Administration, Clerical and Reception
Positions include Junior Reception and Administrative work ($12.65 – $14.00 p/hr.) that are temporary short-term contracts.
Light Industrial
Our Light Industrial department fully prepares candidates for workplace safety and starts them in a warehouse or production area. Candidates would also attend our office and meet with a professional who will provide them with the WHMIS training and prepare them for assignments to include picking/packing, inventory, swamping and production work. Note that steel toe boots are required.
Other opportunities include: corporate cleaners for the Aquarium (criminal checks are required) and international makeup distribution workers ($13-$14/hr in a fun work environment).
Registration
The Interview
We invite candidates to interview at our office – our recruiters provide feedback on resume writing skills, interview tips and coaching. We ask that candidates dress in professional business attire to meet with a recruiter. Available appointments are from Monday to Friday between 9:00 AM & 3:00 PM. The hourly pay scale ranges between $12.65 and $14.00. Our temps are paid weekly by Angus One.
Testing
The candidate will be tested on their Outlook Office Suite computer skills. If they are keen on improving their abilities, we will send them tutorials to practice at home at no cost to them. Once they are confident that they have strengthened their skills they are invited to be re-tested to improve their score.
Is there a fee for this service?
